Huber served in the Navy during World War II as a Machinist Mate 2nd Class. His service dates were from 08 July 1943 to 12 December 1945. He married Dorothy Norma Madden (1921-1996) on 18 September 1943. They had 4-children: Thomas Huber, Phyllis Ann, Mary Jane and Stephen Charles.
