John Adamson, 36, 2423 W. 26th St., Marion died Sunday in a Zion, Ill., hospital, where he had been patient for two weeks. Born in Marion, Mr. Adamson lived in Upland before moving back to Marion 4-1/2 years ago.
He was an employee of the Indiana & Michigan Electric Co., where he was a draftsman. He was a veteran of the Vietnam War and was a member of the Marion Church of the Brethren.
Survivors include his wife, Renee; a son, Kyle Adamson, at home; a daughter, Jonee Adamson, at home; his father and stepmother, John and Donna Adamson, Upland; a brother, Terry Adamson, Fairmount; a sister, Mrs. Tony (Cathy) Smelser, Madeira Beach, Fla.; three stepbrothers, Roger Bolen, Gas City, Ronald Bolen, Fairmount, and Rod Bolen, Upland; a stepsister, Mrs. Rick (Carla) Cochran, Marion; and his paternal grandmother, Mrs. Sarah Adamson, Upland.
A memorial service was held Thursday in the Marion Church of the Brethren. Burial was made in the Marion IOOF cemetery.
Jones Funeral Home, Upland, handled the arrangements.
