Mrs. Carolyn Broughton Gill, 63, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, October 29, 2010. She was a native of Jacksonville and retired as Supervisor of Housekeeping at the Sheraton Riverwalk Hotel.
Mrs. Gill was preceded in death by her parents, Floyd & Elizabeth Broughton and her sisters, Ruby Thompson & Helen Baker. Survivors include her husband of 47 years, Robert C. 'Bob' Gill; 2 children: Brenda Freeman and Robert Gill; 1 sister: Mary (Grady) Shadd; 1 brother: Ronald Broughton; 3 grandchildren: Tiffany, Michael & Justin; 3 great grandchildren: Nicholas, Zoey and Haiden and a number of nieces and nephews.
Funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, November 2, 2010 at Bethel Holiness Church, 5032 Woodcrest Road with Pastor Gene Smith, officiating. Additional services & burial will be held at 2:00 PM on Tuesday at Verdie Cemetery in Bryceville, Florida. Her family will receive friends from 5:00 PM - 7:00 PM on Monday (TODAY) at PEEPLES FAMILY FUNERAL HOMES.
