Son of Gustav and Helene Alberthal. Married Jennie Eloise Devore 09 Dec 1912 in Globe, Gila Co., AZ. Father to Mary Alice, Robert Edwin and Virginia Mae.

Just two days before his 40th wedding anniversary, he died suddenly at his Huntington Park residence, following a heart attack. Born in Fredericksburg, Tex., he went to Globe, Ariz. in 1910. He operated a feed and fuel store in Globe with the late G.D. Barclay until 10 years before his death, when he moved to Phoenix. He had moved to Huntington Park four years before his death. He married Miss Jennie Devore in Globe on Dec. 18, 1912, and was just recently in Globe to attend the funeral of Mrs. Aberthal's mother, Mrs. Ada Devore. He was a member of the Globe Lodge of Elks. He was survived by his wife; son, Maj. Robert Alberthal, who was stationed in Japan; two daughters, Mrs. Mary Alice Watkins of Denver, and Miss Virginia Alberthal of Huntington Park; and two grandchildren.
