In October 2013 an extensive search was conducted to locate his headstone. The local government was unable and unwilling to help find it. A private local historian assisted with the burial location, yet no headstone was found. This is not a cemetery that is well maintained. The grass grows rather tall before it is cut. It is presumed that over time the earth and grass covered the stone so that it is no longer visible. This researcher prodded the ground with a steel rod in attempt to locate the stone, to no avail. He is supposedly buried just Northwest of daughter Ethel.
