Charles Surnear, 62, died unexpectedly yesterday morning at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Donald Klemme, Fort Plain RD 1.
He was born Jan. 14, 1903 in Sprakers and was the son of Fay and Elizabeth Russ Surnear. Mr. Surnear had been employed by the Klemme family for more than 20 years on their farm near Currytown and for the past 17 years, on their farm on the River Road in the Town of Minden.
Survivors include one son, Joseph Surnear, New Berlin; two daughters, Mrs. Marion Guyette, Amsterdam and Miss Betsy Surnear, Randall. Also, one grandson; one brother, Irvin Surnear, Fort Plain; one half-brother, Russell Wilder, Troy; three half-sisters, Mrs. Stella Leneker, Fort Plain: Mrs. Lena Coso, Troy, and Mrs. Mary Hayes, Fonda, nieces and nephews.
