Oldest of six children, she was born in Kiel,WI. in the Calumet County part of the City. Her birth name was Mary Ann and she entered the cloisters in 1952. She professed her vows in 1957. She earned a bachelor of arts degree from Holy Family College, Manitowoc and a master of arts degree from the University of Wisconsin, Milwaukee.
Sister Alexa served as an elementary teacher and/or principal and also as a faculty member and director of teacher education at Silver Lake College, Manitowoc for 17 years.
Since August,1999, she resided at St.Rita's Health Care Center in the Motherhouse.

Sister Alexa Rollmann, age 62, a member of the Franciscan Sisters of
Christian Charity, died Friday, January 14, 2000, at Holy Family
Convent, Manitowoc. The Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30
a.m. Wednesday, January 19, 2000, at Holy Family Convent Chapel, with
Rev. Justin Pierce, S.D.S. officiating. Burial will be at Holy Family
Convent Cemetery, Manitowoc.
She was born Mary Ann Rollman on January 13, 1938, in Kiel, Wis.,
daughter of the late Alex and Alice Dorn Rollmann. Sisters Alexa earned
a Bachelor of Arts Degree from Holy Family College, Manitowoc and a
Master of Arts Degree from the University of Wisconsin, Milwaukee. She
entered the Convent in 1952 and professed her vows in 1957. Sister Alexa
served as an elementary teacher and/or principal at Immaculate
Conception, West De Pere, St. John, Antigo, Holy Rosary, Kewaunee,
Sacred Heart, Manitowoc, St. Mary, Kaukauna and St. John the Baptist,
Plymouth, Wisconsin. She also served as faculty member and Director of
Teacher Education at Silver Lake College, Manitowoc for 17 years. Since
August, 1999, she has been residing in St. Rita Health Center in the
Motherhouse. Sister Alexa is a member of the Franciscan Sisters of
Christian Charity.
Survivors include the Franciscan Sisters of Christian Charity; two
sisters and brothers-in-law: Cindy and Mark Traxler, Appleton; Doris and
Bill Belfeuil, Berlin; three brothers: Mark Rollman, Kiel; James
Rollmann, Port Washington; William Rollmann, Miami, Florida. Also
surviving are nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
The family will greet relatives and friends from 4-8 p.m. Tuesday,
January 18, 2000, at Holy Family Convent, Manitowoc. A Prayer Service
will be held at 7 p.m. Tuesday, at Holy Family Convent Chapel.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial is set up for Sister Alexa Rollman at
Silver Lake College.
The Pfeffer Funeral Home, Manitowoc is assisting the family with funeral
arrangements.
