Survived by his wife; sons, Nelson, Glenn and Vernon Volkerding; a daughter, Mrs. Cecil hale; sisters, Mrs. John Luehring and Mrs. W.C. Wessell; and 13 grandchildren.
He was a retired farmer and lifelong resident of the Gordonville community.
Preceded in death by brothers, Henry, Herman and Robert.
