Donald C. Furtkamp, 74, of Payson died Jan. 11, 2005. He was born Sept. 19, 1930 in Stauton, Ill.

Mr. Furtkamp was a graduate of the University of Illinois, and was a Korean War veteran.

He worked on the Apollo Missions and various aerospace projects as a computer programmer. He loved golf, baseball and made a hole-in-one at the Payson Golf Club.

He is survived by his wife, Margaret Furtkamp of Payson; sons, Paul of Kentucky and Andy of Phoenix; brothers, James and Robert, both of Illinois; and five grandchildren.

Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Friday, Jan. 14 at Messinger Payson Funeral Home, with interment at Payson Pioneer Cemetery.
