                              DIED.

AUCLAIRE—On Monday, Feb. 15th [sic], of dropsy, Mrs. Auclaire, wife of Henry Auclaire, aged 35 years. Funeral services were held Wednesday. (Brainerd Dispatch, 19 February 1892, p. 4, c. 4)

Marker Note: The marker is located in lot 53, not in lot 53 1/2 where records say she is buried. The marker also faces west when it should be facing east (readable while standing on the west side of the grave looking toward the east). Very odd. The marker seems to have been installed several years after the burial, which is understandable given that the burial is in the "County burials" section for indigent families that cannot afford to buy a gravesite and thus could not afford a marker at the time of burial.
