Edith Lindsey Young died on Sunday May 7, 2006 at her home. She was born in Durant, OK to Samuel Lafayette Lindsey and Mattie Mae. Edith was raised in Wellington. She graduated from Wellington High School with the Class of 1949. She was active in the Beefmaster Breeders Universal Cattle Association: once Director of the Corpus Christi Women's Bowling Association and a retired Business Owner.
Edith was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, Sam and Dean, two sisters, Lola Stafford and Dorothy Coleman, and one niece, Anne Coleman Fergerson. Survivors are one daughter Irene Y. Wills and husband, Don, of Southlake; grandson James T. Ward and wife, Christine, of Corpus Christi; granddaughters Lindsey D. Ward of Washington, DC, and Donna Wills Cudgel of Murphy; nieces Jan Sailings of Lubbock and Norma Smith of Goliad; nephews Ken Stafford of Highland Haven, Sam Stafford of Corpus Christi, and Jim Lindsey of Amarillo.
Edith will be missed by her friends and family.
