Lydia Ruth Greenwood, 79, 312 S. Lexington, Olney, died in Burgin Manor East Friday, Feb.7 at 6 a.m.
Services were held Monday in Summers Funeral Home with Rev. Elton Carlson presiding. Burial will be in Shiloh Cemetery in rural Noble.
She was born in Richland County May 13, 1906, to Albert and Ruth (Morgan) Rodgers. She married Lee Greenwood in Olney Feb. 14, 1923. He preceded her in death July 20, 1981.
She retired from the International Shoe Company after 44 years as an employee. She was a member of the Central Christian Church, Sumner.
Mrs. Greenwood is survived by five sons, Walter Edward of Casper, Wyo.; Otis Earl, Lee Rodgers and Truman Dale Greenwood, all of Olney; Robert Joseph of Alabama; three brothers, Turman, Lafe, Roy and Lloyd Rodgers, all of Olney; a sister, Elizabeth Brandenburg of Olney; 16 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild.
In addition to her husband, others who preceded her in death are her parents; a daughter, Mildred Louise; eight brothers; a sister; a granddaughter; and two grandsons.
