Kenneth E. Gilpin was born November 2, 1931, in Taylorville, son of Ambrose and Mary Ethel reed Gilpin. He married Jane Schnute March 11, 1953 in Taylorville.
Surviving are his wife; daughters, Diana (Matt) McLemore, Carol(Richard) Mullvain and Cathy (Bill) Kaigley; six grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Kenny Gilpin, brothers, Otis, Earl, Homer and Ronnie Gilpin; and sisters, Mabel Church and Lillian Kester.
