Catherine Tatum Lett was born on May 24, 1923 in Opelika, Alabama and passed away on August 30, 2012 at Bethany House in Auburn. She was 89.

She was a member of First United Methodist Church, a member of Kappa Delta sorority, president of the Pan-Hellenic Council at Auburn University, and a graduate of Auburn University in interior design.

Mrs. Lett was predeceased by her parents, A.C. and Carrie Ramage Tatum; her husband, Robert Winston Lett; her sisters, Carolyn Tatum Hicks and Maxine Tatum Gholston.

She is survived by her daughter, Lisa Lett Bentley and her husband, Jack Bentley; and son Winston Tatum Lett and partner Frank Benoit of Miami, Florida; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Flowers will be accepted or Memorial Contributions may be made to First United Methodist Church.

The family would like to extend their thanks to Mrs. Jeanette Burton, Mrs. Marsha Ogletree, Mrs. Catherine Lyles, Mrs. Belinda Spivey and the Bethany House staff for their loving care that they provided.

A visitation will be held at Fredericks Funeral Home on Monday, September 3, 2012 from 12-2pm/cdt with a graveside service immediately following at Garden Hills Cemetery, with Rev. Scott Kaak officiating.
