Services for Richard Mark Phillips will be at 1 pm on September 27, 2012 at Dry Prong Assembly of God, with Bro. Danny Garner and Bro. Kenneth Hyde officiating. Burial will be in the Dry Prong Cemetery under the direction of Boyce Community Funeral Home.
Mr. Richard Mark Phillips, age 51 of Dry Prong passed away at 4:48 pm on September 22, 2012 at his residence.
Mr. Phillips served Our Country for twelve years. He served Our Country with Honor and Pride. He was a Tank Commander in the 1st Gulf War. He loved God, his Country, LSU, Saints, and Cowboys.
Mr. Phillips is preceded in death by his mother, Cornelia Phillips; father, Frelson Phillips Sr. and Chance Smith.
He is survived by his wife Shelia Phillips, daughters; Melissa Phillips, Kim Smith, Chloe Johnson, sons; Joshua Phillips, Bruce and wife Heather Phillips. Bruce Phillips, who is on active duty in England; and Cory Smith; brothers, Frelson Phillips Jr., Glenn Phillips, and Don Phillips; sisters, Linda Morrow, and Sandra Locker; numerous grandchildren, nieces, nephews and loved ones.
