Annabelle ranched on the Arizona Strip with her husband until his death, and then with her sons until the ranch was sold in the mid-1980s. Widely known for her cake decorating abilities, Annabelle decorated many wedding and birthday cakes for family and 'locals'. She also taught a class on it at Dixie College. A talented tailor and seamstress, she sewed and altered clothing for others, as well as sewed her sons' shirts.
After Max's death, Annabelle began working as an employee in the St. George Temple. During this time, she also did bookkeeping for ABC Auto Parts and CTR Filters. Annabelle then worked as office manager / receptionist / secretary, etc. (doing whatever needed to be done) at the Brinkerhoff Large Animal Clinic from the time it was built in 1985 until the time of her death.
Through her years as a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Annabelle served in many different callings—Relief Society Work Director, Relief Society Counselor, Primary teacher, Primary President, MIA Girls Camp Director/Specialist. At the time of her passing Annabelle was serving as the president of her Sunday School class. However, of all the callings she ever held, the one Annabelle loved the most was teaching and working with the 11-year-old scouts, a position she held for close to 35 years.
Surviving family includes her three sons and their wives, as well as their respective living children and grandchildren --Max Kelly (Shanna) Brinkerhoff of Washington, UT, Craig Reese (Denise) Brinkerhoff of St. George, UT, Thomas Lynn (MaryAnn) Brinkerhoff of St. George, UT; siblings--Ruby Swapp of Phoenix, AZ, Clinton Reese of Corona, CA, and Laurence (Eleanor) Reese of Kanab, UT. Also surviving are sister-in-law Shirley Brinkerhoff and brother-in-law & sister-in-law, Elvin & Juanita Spencer.
Annabelle was preceded in death by her parents, John and Susie Reese; husband, Max; grandson, Mitchell Thomas Brinkerhoff; granddaughter, Connie Brinkerhoff; siblings--Beth Anderson, Lila Anderson, Kathy Brinkerhoff, John Reese, Helen Jensen, Donald Reese, and Nada Spencer.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, September 29, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. in the St. George 5th & 6th Ward Chapel on 100 S. 400 E., St. George, UT. A viewing will be held at the chapel Friday evening from

All are deeply appreciated.
