Brenda Joy Goff Gillespie, age 58, went to be with the Lord on March 18, 2012, in Mesquite, Nevada. She was born June 23, 1953 in Ely, Nevada to Layton Leroy and Delta Joy Erickson Goff. She was the youngest of three children.
She married Tom Gillespie on February 14, 1987 in Ely, Nevada. She was an excellent mother and housewife she took good care of her family.
Brenda is survived by her husband: Tom Gillespie of Nephi, Utah; her sons: Raymond Broughton of Nephi; Jesse Broughton of Delta, Utah; Kristen Gillespie of Delta; her two brothers: Raymond Vaughn Goff of North Carolina; Richard Leroy Goff of North Carolina. Brenda also had 15 grandkids and 1 great-grandkid.
Brenda is preceded in death by her daughter: Tonya Thompson; and her parents: Layton and Delta Joy Goff.
Brenda was very loved by everybody. Everyone she met was her best friend. She always wanted to help and do what she could for anyone who needed her.
Funeral services were held on Saturday, March 24, 2012 at 11:00 AM at the Nephi 9th Ward Chapel, 1125 N. 400 E., Nephi. Friends called Saturday morning at the church from 10-10:40 AM, prior to services.
Burial was in the Delta Cemetery at 2:00 PM under the direction of Nickle Mortuary.
