MOORE, ROE I.—Roe I. Moore, daughter of Jefferson B. and Elvina Moon Russell, born April 19, 1881 at Ashland, Ne., and passed away December 9, 1980, at Fairview Manor, Fairmont, Ne., where she had been a resident for the past five years.

Mrs. Moore received her education in the Ashland schools and resided in Ashland, Ne., until her marriage, September 29, 1913 to Thomas B. Moore of Friend.

Mr. and Mrs. Moore came to Geneva March 7, 1917. They owned and ran the Vogue clothing store until Mr. Moore’s death in 1945.

Mrs. Moore was a member of St. Joseph’s Catholic church, the Altar Society, Geneva Women’s club and the O. K. Kensington. She was very active in all of these organizations until her eyesight became impaired.

She is survived by a niece, Louise Cone, Geneva, other distant relatives and many friends.

Funeral services were conducted from the St. Joseph’s Catholic church in Geneva on Saturday, December 12, 1980 at 2 p.m., with Father Walter Banach officiating.

Music was provided by the St. Joseph’s Women’s choir.

Pallbearers were Harry Dondlinger, Harold Engle, Joe Reinsch, Albert Theer, Sylvester Weis and Lewis Grote.
Interment was in the Geneva public cemetery, next to her husband, Thomas B. Moore.
