Dolores M. Troup passed away on Sunday, December 2, 2007 at the Dallas County Hospital in Perry. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, December 5 at McCalley Funeral Home in Adel with burial at Oakdale Cemetery. Friends may call after 2 p.m. Tuesday at teh funeral home where family will greet friends from 6 to 7 p.m.

Dolores was born the daughter of Franziska Wegner and Albert Bulkowsky on March 16, 1910 in Foerstenau, Germany. She was married to Bernard L. Troup who preceded her in death.

Dolores attended Wayne State College in Nebraska. She was an art teach in Des Moines Public Schools for 33 years. She resided on a small farm near Earlham, Iowa until she moved to a nursing home in Adel for her final years. She devoted most of her life to her animals, birds, and flowers. She continued her love of painting throughout her life.
