Clarence "Mac" Author McAllister, 64, of Spring City, formerly of McMinn County, passed away, Sunday, September 23, 2012, at his residence. A native of Etowah, he was a son of the Florence and the late Clyde McAllister. He was retired form Olin Chemical and was a member of Starr Mountain Street Rodders Car Club. His hobbies included bicycling, hunting, antique autos and he was a UT Vols Fan. He was preceded in death by his father, listed above. Survivors include his wife, Lilly Armour Clement McAllister of Spring City, TN; one son, Matthew David Clement of Cookeville, TN; his mother, Florence McAllister of Etowah, TN; sisters and brothers-in-law, Wanda and E.W. Cooley of Etowah, TN, Joyce Reese of Etowah, TN, Imogene and Garry Brunk of Benton, TN, Mary Helen and Laddie Clayton of Benton, TN, and Margaret and Ralph Bates of Benton, TN; one uncle, Ed Parrot of Charlotte, NC and one aunt, Sally Harley of Charlotte, NC. Funeral service will be 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, September 26, 2012 in the South Chapel of Bordwine Funeral Home with Dr. Harold Curtis and Rev. Jeff Blanchette officiating. The family will receive friends from 5:00-7:00 p.m., Monday prior to the service. Family and friends will assemble at Cog Hill Cemetery, Wednesday, September 26th for an 11:00 a.m., committal service .Chris Bates, Greg Clayton, Jeff Reese, Mike Cooley and Chris Cooley will serve as pallbearers
