SPANISH WAR VET DIES
Death called Joseph Edgar Northway after a two weeks' illness at a McMinnville hospital. He was born in 1876 at Portis, Kan. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Nell Altsman Northway, and his mother, Mary Northway of Portis, Kansas. Also surviving is a sister, Mrs. Oliver Robinson of Lukus, Kansas. He was a member of the Bert J Clark Camp No. 12, Spanish American war veterans.
Funeral services were held at the Chapel of Flowers in McMinnville, Monday afternoon. Rev. S.J. Osborn of the Christian church officiated, with interment at the Amity cemetery. Macy's Funeral home conducted arrangements.
