Randolph—Mrs. Rudolph Podoll, 69, passed away at St. Joseph’s Hospital at Beaver Dam on Wednesday, May 30th.
Mrs. Podoll, nee Wilhelmina Auguste Marquardt, was born near Berlin, Germany; March 14, 1887. She came to this country with her parents in 1891 and settled near Doylestown. On October 4, 1904, she was married to Rudolph Podoll and resided on a farm near Randolph until 1911 and since that time had been a resident of Randolph.
Surviving are her husband; six daughters, Mrs. Asa (Lorana) Davis, Enumclaw, Wash.; Mrs. George (Leora) Abrahamson, Randolph; Mrs. Louis (Viola) Ziese of Wauwatosa; Mrs. Jack (Hilda) Clarke, and Mrs. Harold (Eleanor) Booth of Beaver Dam; and Mrs. Harold (Helen) Beecher of Marinette, Wis.; nine grandchildren and six grat grandchildren; three sisters and three brothers, five half sisters and two half brothers.
Preceding her in death were her parents, one son in infancy and one sister.
Funeral services were held on Saturday, June 2nd from the Schmidt Funeral Home at Randolph with burial in the Randolph cemetery.

Addenum: Kaiserdorf, the village where she was born, was originally a part of Posen, a province of Prussia. Her birth and baptism were confirmed by photos of three Prussian state records found online. Prussia was the forerunner of Germany, a smaller country now than Prussia was. Kaiserdorf is now Mlotkowo situated in Pilskie , Poland. Mlotkowo is about 150 miles east of Berlin. Posen was usurped into Poland when it was recreated after World War II. There is no listing for this town in Find A Grave.
