Laurel Hill Dies Friday

Laurel Hill, 86, of Vallonia R1, died at 9:30 p.m. Friday at Schneck Memorial Hospital here after a long illness.

Funeral arrangements are pending at the Johnson Funeral Home, Vallonia, and will be announced later.

Rites Held For Laurel Hill, Of Vallonia

Funeral services for Laurel M. Hill, 86, of Vallonia R1, were conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday from the Johnson Funeral home at Vallonia with burial in Weddleville Cemetery.

Mr. Hill died at 9:30 p.m. Friday at Schneck Memorial Hospital herre following an illness of two weeks.

A lifelong resident of Jackson County, he was a retired farmer and a member of Driftwood Christian Church.

Born January 23, 1883, he was the son of William and Rhoda Trueblood Hill.

Survivors include four sons, Nolan, Gene and Ross Hill, all of Vallonia, and Lucian Hill, of Bloomington; a brother, Styles Hill, of Leesville; two grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

A marriage license was issued Wednesday morning to Laurel Hill and Edna Blair, both of Medora.
