CARLOS- James Gary Adams, 79, of Carlos, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, September 23, 2012. Born January 17, 1933 in Carlos, he was the son of the late George and Mae (Hughes)Adams of Carlos. He was preceded in death by his sister, Blanch Muir and husband, Irwin. Gary was a United States Army Veteran of the Korean War from 1953-1955 serving as Corporal in the 3rd Division. He retired from Westvaco Corp. in 1995 after 40 years working in multi-craft maintenance. Gary loved woodworking and made many beautiful pieces of furniture for his home and for his children and grandchildren. He loved hunting for many years. He is survived by his wife, Rosalie (Morgan) Adams, daughter Lynn Clark and husband Steve, Frostburg; a son Alan Adams and wife Linda, Frostburg; three grandchildren, Sarah Clark, Chris Adams and wife, Rebecca, and Ryan Clark; two great-grandchildren, Landon Housel and Aubrey Adams.; and sister, Marguerite Baker and husband Arch. Gary had many friends and will be missed by his family ,friends and especially his devoted dog, Bear. Gary requested his body be cremated. A graveside memorial service will be held on Sunday, September 30, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. at Frostburg Memorial Park with Rev. George M. Harpold officiating. Farrady Post 24 will accord military honors at the graveside. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to the Western Maryland Health System Home Hospice, 1050 West Industrial Blvd., Cumberland, MD 21502.
