Professional Hockey Player. A native of Bracebridge, Ontario, Carson was the son of a famous lumber baron named D.M. Carson and the brother of hockey players, Gerald George 'Gerry' Carson, and Frank Reginald 'Frosty' Carson. At 5'08, and 158lbs, Carson played the position of Center for teams in OHA-Jr., Al-Cup, OHA-Sr., Exhib., Can-Am, IHL, and the NHL hockey leagues, including the Woodstock Athletics from 1918 to 1919, University of Toronto from 1919 to 1923, Grimsby Peach Kings from 1923 to 1924, Toronto Granites from 1923 to 1924, Stratford Indians from 1924 to 1926, Toronto St. Pats from 1926 to 1927, Toronto Maple Leafs from 1926 to 1929, Boston Bruins from 1928 to 1930, London Tecumsehs from 1930 to 1933, and the New Haven Eagles from 1933 to 1934. Carson was also a Member of the OHA-Sr. First All-Star Team in 1921, and a Member of the OHA-Sr. Second All-tar Team in 1920, 1922, and 1923. After retiring from hockey Carson became a well-known dentist for many years in the Parry Sound, Ontario, area. Dr Bill Carson died on May 29, 1967, at the age of 66. The house that the boys grew up in is now a Bed & Breakfast in Parry Sound, Ontario, simply known as 'The Carson House.'
