Mr. Gage was born Dec. 5, 1920, in Portland. He graduated from Washington High School. During World War II, he served in the Army Air Corps in Europe and flew 35 missions and received a Distinguished Flying Cross. In 1955, he moved to Lake Oswego, where he and his wife owned Gage Industries, a plastics manufacturing business, for 34 years. He married Elizabeth Knox in 1947.
Survivors include his wife; son, Jeff; daughter, Liz; and four grandchildren.
