JOPLIN, Mo. — Nicole Marie Collins, 43, Joplin, Mo. passed away Friday, Sept. 21, 2012, at her home after a lengthy illness.

Nicole Marie Collins was born June 2, 1969, in Kansas City, Kan., the daughter of Michael C. Collins and Judy Helmert Collins. She was a graduate of OHera High School, Kansas City, Kan. and graduated as a registered LPN from Missouri Southern University in 2004. She was an LPN for Joplin Health and Rehab for four years.

She moved to Carthage in September, of 2000, and moved to Joplin in 2012. She coached volleyball at the Carthage YMCA and was a competitive swimmer during her elementary and middle school years. She loved doing outdoor activities with her children. She was loved and respected by her many friends.

Survivors include three daughters, Ashley Valdez (Tara Walsh) Collins, Carthage, Valentina (Nathan) Carr, Carthage and Kayla (Kody Bell) Collins, Alba, Mo.; one son, Dilyan Austin Collins, Joplin; one sister, Cathy Miller, Kansas City; an aunt, Mary Kremer, Overland Park, Kan.; Earl Collins, Joplin, Mo.

Visitation will be held from 2 to 3 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 25, at Knell Mortuary, Carthage. Memorial services will follow at 3 p.m. Inurnment will be in Fasken Cemetery, NE of Carthage.

Memorial gifts are suggested to the children of Nicole Collins.

Arrangements are under the direction and personal care of Knell Mortuary, Carthage, Mo.
