Suggested Edit: Teresa A. Simons, 70, of Topeka, died Nov. 6, 2004, at Midland Hospice Care in Topeka. She was born Nov. 11, 1933, in Manhattan, the daughter of Seth and Anna Hoehn Simons. She graduated from the former Sacred Heart Academy in Manhattan. Miss Simons was employed by Stauffer Publications for nearly 40 years. Her parents preceded her in death, as well as two brothers, Seth “Bud” Simons, Manhattan, and Joseph Simons, Topeka; and four sisters, Marge Prete in Arizona, Georgia Emerson in Oklahoma; Marie Guipre, in Colorado, and Stella Simons, in Topeka. Survivors include two sisters, Betty Kimbell, living in South Dakota, and Ellen Book, formerly of California, now living in Topeka; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was a member of Most Pure Heart of Mary Catholic Church. Miss Simons will lie in state after 4 p.m. Monday at Brennan-Mathena Funeral Home, where a parish rosary will be recited at 6 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated by the Rev. Frank Krische at 11 a.m . Tuesday at Most Pure Heart of Mary Church. Interment will follow in Mount Calvary Cemetery. Memorial contributions are suggested to Most Pure Heart of Mary Church, 1800 S.W. Stone, Topeka, Kan. 66604, or to Midland Hospice Care Inc., 200 S.W. Frazier, Topeka, Kan. 66606.
