Kathy enjoyed snowmobiling, camping and playing bingo. Most of all she cherished the time spent with her family. Her grandchildren and great grandchildren meant the world to her. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
Kathy is survived by her loving husband of 55 years, Monte Showers, four children; Robert Showers, Vicky (Jeff) Kelley, April (David) Corning and Laureen (Todd) Gilray, a daughter-in-law; Julie Showers, 16 grandchildren. 23 great grandchildren and one special great grandson who was dear to her heart, Connor, three siblings; Maureen (Charles) Ripp, Greg (Diane) Connelly and Cece (Earl) Cheek. She is also survived by many other loving family and friends.
Kathy was preceded in death by her parents, son Michael Showers and two brothers, Patrick Connelly and Michael Connelly.
Funeral services will be held at CRESS FUNERAL HOME, 3325 E. Washington Ave., Madison on Wednesday, September 26, 2012 at 1:30 pm with Monsignor Michael Hippee presiding. A visitation will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday from 11:00 am until the time of service. Graveside services will follow the funeral on Wednesday at Roselawn Memorial Park Cemetery.
