Mrs. Velma Esther Perfect, 80, formerly of 146 ½ N. Fayette St., died at 12:20 p.m. Tuesday in the Court House Manor Nursing Home where she had been a patient five months. She had bee in failing health the past two months.
Born in Fairfield County, Mrs. Perfect had resided in Washington C.H. for 16 years, having lived in Franklin County prior to moving here. Her first husband, Pearl Sites, died in 1917, and her second husband, Lehr Perfect died in 1970. She was a member of South Side Church of Christ.
She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Verna Cordy 305 Mount Olive Road, and Mrs. Esther McDaniel of 1007 S Hinde St.; seven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Ida Reef of Buckeye Lake and Mrs. Bertha Mannerstrom of Columbus.
Services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday in the Gerstner-Kinzer Funeral Home with the Rev. Charles Richmond, pastor of the South Side Church of Christ, officiating in Franklin County. Friends may call at the funeral home from 2 until 9 p.m. Thursday.
