Born Wednesday, March 14, 1928, in Charlton, Md., she was the daughter of the late William C. Tedrick and the late Rhoda B. Hawbaker Tedrick.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Melvin E. King, in 1970.
She attended Clear Spring High School Class of 1945.
She was employed with Fairchild Aircraft, Biddle Airlines in Miami, Fla., and Dorbee Manufacturing for 17 years retiring in 1975, later she did specialized sewing and alternations in her home for 30 years. She also was a notary public for 30 years.
She was a member of Christ Lutheran Church, Funkstown American Legion Post 211, Eagles Club, A.A.R.P. and volunteered at The Maryland Theatre.
She is survived by her son, James M. King of Frederick, Md.; three sisters, Kathryn Bellous of Louisville, Ky., Peggy Dundus of Martinsburg, W.Va., and Barbara Robison of Hagerstown; two brothers, Richard Tedrick of Marlowe, W.Va., and P.E. "Buck" Tedrick of Hagerstown; four grandsons, Mark Brougher of Chicago, Ill., Christopher Gray of Virginia, Dakota King of Hagerstown and Dayton King of Hagerstown; and one great-grandson.
She was preceded in death by her son, Dennis (Jim) Duffey; sister, Ann Weaver; and brothers, William Carl Tedrick, Robert D. Tedrick and Leon A. Tedrick.
