Author of many books on business and religion; famed for predicting the 1929 stock market crash.
Founded Babson Institute(now Babson College) in Wellsley, Massachusetts, Webber College(now Webber International University) in Babson Park, Florida and Utopia College (now defunct), in Eureka, Kansas.

Mrs. Grace K. Babson (The NEWS, Egg Harbpor City, NJ, 17MAY1956):

Roger W Babson and Grace Knight were married in 1900 and started their life together in a little house, which served as both home and office, at a combined rental of $22 per month. Shortly after their marriage, Mr. Babson was taken ill with tuberculosis and was "given up for dead". He was pulled through by the untiring efforts of Mrs. Babson, who after her studies at Mt. Holyoke College , had taken up nursing.

Mr. Babson was a weekly columnist for many newspapers, including The NEWS of Egg Harbor City, NJ
