Elizabeth Kinkead (nee Fall)
Was the 2nd wife of John H. Kinkead the Territorial treasurer of Nevada 1864 and later the 3rd Governor of Nevada 1879-82 and the 1st territorial Governor of alaska 1884. John died in 1904 and Elizabeth followed him on Aug. 26th 1907 at the age of 70 and was laid to rest in the Kinkead family plot in the Lone Mountain Cemetery in Carson City NV.

Can you add her birth place of Ohio and some of this info on her for me. She went by Lizzie. P.S. John's term as governor was 1879-1883 I posted a pic of her. I'm a BIG history buff of Nevada Goverment. Lizzie Fall was born in Ohio and moved west with her family during the California Gold Rush. She met John Henry Kinkead in Marysville, California, and the two were married in 1856. They settled in Carson City in 1860. The Kinkeads had no children of their own, but adopted a native boy from Alaska, Kahtz Kinkead, who died at the age of 13 in 1872. After her husband's term as Governor of Nevada, he was appointed territorial governor of Alaska in 1884, making Mrs. Kinkead the First Lady of the State of Nevada and the Territory of Alaska. She died in Carson City on August 26, 1907. Thanks, Michelle
