"ALBANY - Ethel May Gee, 80, of 2215 South Elm St., died Friday in a local hospital of cancer.
She was born in Claremore, Okla. She moved to Independence in 1923 and later 12 years in Kinzua, where she worked as a telephone operator. She had lived in Albany since 1962.
She was a member of the Rebekah Lodge, Fossil-Kinzua Chapter, and the Baptist Church.
Survivors include sons Archie Lee Gee, Prescott, Ariz., and Tommy L. Gee, Metarie, LA.; daughter Nadine Oglesbee, Brookings; and sisters Lila Jones and Dorothy Grenz, both of Albany, and Murl Apperson, Salem.
Graveside services will be at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday in Twin Oaks Memorial Gardens under the direction of Fisher mortuary."
The family suggests contributions to the American Cancer Society."
