Annie Florence Carlton Veirs was born in was born on April 7, 1885, in Tennessee. She is the daughter of Albert Moses Carlton and Mary Caledonia “Callie” Wills Carlton. She married Joseph Marion Viers on October 3, 1903. They had three children during their marriage; a daughter Frances Marian Veirs Graham, 2 sons: James Walter “Brick” Veirs, and Albert Carlton “Toonie” Viers. She died in October 1970 in Haywood County, Tennessee, at the age of 85, after a long illness, She will be laid to rest in the Lebanon Church Cemetery in Haywood County, Tennessee
