Joe A. Albrecht, 76, passed away Sept. 20, 2012. He went to Heaven to join his wife, Shirley Marie. He is survived by his son & daughter, three grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren, the newest member to join our family in November 2012 is Logan. He is also survived by his sister and his brother, plus numerous nieces, nephews and other family. Joe was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph Neal and Ella Pearl Albrecht. Joe was a loving, caring, compassionate husband, father, brother, grandfather and great grandfather. He had a great sense of humor. His favorite thing was helping people and serving the Lord. He served and loved his country as well. He was in the U.S. Air Force and the Naval Reserves during the end of the Korean War and the beginning of Vietnam, receiving an honorable discharge. He loved taking care of people. He also worked as a city fireman for 26 years and retired as captain. Joe was a member of Southwest Church of Christ for over 30 years. He was an avid member and helped as a benevolent minister serving his community. Viewing, 4 to 8 p.m. Monday, Imperial Funeral Home. Funeral service, 10 a.m. Tuesday, Southwest Church of Christ.
