Garn was an active member of the LDS church. He was known for his teaching of the scriptures. He served in elders quorums, bishoprics, high council and temple work. He loved gardening, wood work, and spending time at his cabin with family.
He is survived by his loving wife Orissa, children: Kathern (Thom) Taylor, Sallie (Jim) Hughes, Terrie (Mike) Baldwin, Neil (Teresa) Hirschi, Cindy (David) Rice, Troy (Lisa) Hirschi, 29 grandchildren and 44 great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by sister Karma Leavitt and 2 grandchildren.
Viewing will be from 6-8pm Friday, Sept. 28 at Davis Funeral Home, 2127 W. Charleston, Las Vegas, NV and again from 9-9:45am Sat. Sept. 29 prior to 10am service at Lorenzi Chapel, 221 S. Lorenzi, Las Vegas, NV. Interment in Cedar City. UT Monday Oct. 1, 10am
