Mrs. Mary B. Miles
Elmwood, June 24 - Mrs. Mary B. Miles, 69, of Elmwood rural route, died at 9:55 p.m. Sunday at St. Francis hospital in Peoria after a lingering illness.
She was born in Russellville, Ohio, Aug. 31, 1876, a daughter of Bonaparte N. and Helena Fryar Bartley. Oct. 21, 1896, she was married to George L. Miles of Elmwood. He died in 1940.
Surviving are five sons, Elmer of Trivoli, Louis of Peoria Heights, Paul of Elmwood, Albert and Dean at home in Elmwood; four daughters, Mrs. H. T. Steurer of Bartonville, Miss Daisy Miles of Chicago, Mrs. Hector Girves of Normal and Mrs. C. W. Olson of Chicago; nine grandchildren and two half brothers.
Funeral services will be at 2:30 p. m. (CDT) Wednesday from the Clark Memorial home in Elmwood, with the Rev. Charles Vandettum officiating. Burial will be in the Elmwood Cemetery. Friends may call at the memorial home Tuesday afternoon and evening.
She was a member of the Elmwood Methodist Church.
