The home of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Schlager at Beverly was the scene of a beautiful wedding ceremony Wednesday noon when their daughter, Miss Lydia, and Andrew J. Alberts of Culbertson, son of Mr. and Mrs. John J. Alberts of Hildreth, were united in marriage.

To the accompaniment of Lohengrin's "Bridal Chorus," played by Mrs. J.W. Wagner, a sister of the bride, the wedding party entered the living room, accompanied by Miss Flora Alberts, a sister of the groom, and Jake Schlager, a brother of the bride. Rev. A.F. Wegener, pastor of St. John's Lutheran church, pronounced the words that made this esteemable couple man and wife. Following this Miss Maria Schlager sang the lovely number entitled "Forever."

The bride wore a beautiful gown of printed chiffon and carried a bouquet of roses and sweet peas, the groom being dressed in the conventional blue. Immediately following the ceremony the guests were ushered into the dining room where a lovely three-course dinner was served. Only the immediate relatives of the bridal couple were in attendance. They left shortly after the wedding dinner for points in Colorado and eastern Kansas and Nebraska on a short honeymoon, following which they will return to Culbertson and make their home in the Wacker residence property in the southwest section of the city.

The bride is one of the most popular young ladies of the community and graduated from the local high school with the class of 1930. The groom is also well and favorable known throughout this community, having been employed with the Kugler Oil company here for several years, which position he will continue to fill upon his return home. The best wishes of the whole community go with them as they travel life's pathway together.
