Born Nov. 18, 1936, in Bethesda, Md., he was the son of the late George F. and Daisy M. Betts Murray.
He was a member of River of Life Church, Clear Spring.
He was a member of AARP.
He is survived by his wife, Dakota Murray; three daughters, Sandra F. Buckler of Hancock, and Jennifer S. Sheppard and Teresa R. Chapman, both of Clear Spring; three sons, Lewis R. Murray Jr. and Donald L. Murray, both of Clear Spring, and William F. Murray Jr. of Falling Waters, W.Va.; five sisters, Anna M. Carbaugh, Bessie Henson and Mary Little, all of Williamsport, and Geraldine Jordan and Goldie Staley, both of Falling Waters; one brother, Henry Murray of Hagerstown; 10 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, William F. Murray Sr. and James L. Murray.
