Stanley Harding Vaughn of Jackson, GA died Sunday, May 6, 2012 at his residence. He was born December 21, 1949 in Griffin, GA to the late Alvin Eugene Vaughn. He was a past member the Jackson Exchange Club where he was voted the "Exchangite of the Year" in 1986, honored by the Jaycee as "Boss of the Year", member of the Jackson Fair Association, member of Jackson/Butts County Housing Authority, past president of the JHS Athletic Booster Club, a faithful member of Macedonia Baptist Church, serving on several committees of the church, and member of the Russ Crumbley Sunday School Class. He enjoyed UGA football, gardening, Jackson football, rabbit hunting, fishing, outdoors, loved his church, and loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. Stanley also was a veteran serving in the US Army and in the Viet Nam War.

Stanley is survived by wife, Cindy Vaughn, 2 sons and daughters-in-law, Bragg and Jessica Vaughn of Dallas, Lee and Aimee Vaughn of Jenkinsburg, grandson, Braxton, granddaughter, Ailie, sister, Louette Vaughn, of Atlanta, and mother-in-law, Daftner Fincher of Jackson.

Services will be held at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, May 8, 2012 at Macedonia Baptist Church with Rev. Lane Sanders officiating. Interment will be at Macedonia Baptist Church Cemetery.
