SPENCER ~ Joyce Beatty Isbell, 85, of Spencer, passed away, Wednesday, Sept. 19, 2012 at Autumn Care of Salisbury.
Born May 8, 1927, in Cabarrus County, she was the daughter of the late Jack W. and Henrietta Little Beatty.
Mrs. Isbell graduated Midland High School, worked at Cannon Mills and Med Supplies. She was member of North Main Street Baptist Church. Isbell was a wonderful mother and grandmother.
Preceding her in death were husbands, Joe H. King, Shiver McGraw and William F. Isbell and brothers, Jack Beatty, Jr. and Tommy Beatty.
Those left to cherish her memories are sons, Allen King (Vicky) of Oakboro and Dale King (Rosa) of Richfield; daughters, Linda Suggs (Eddie) of High Point and Yevonne Stallings (Jimmy) of Salisbury; sisters, Betty King of Maryland, Nova Stephens of South Carolina, Nellie Hatley of Locust and Shirley Love of Stanfield and many grand and great-grand children.
Service: 11 a.m., Saturday, Sept. 22, 2012 at North Main Baptist with the Rev. Dr. Dale Robertson officiating. Burial to follow at Carolina Memorial Park, 601 Mt. Olivet Rd., Kannapolis, NC 28081.
Lyerly Funeral Home is serving the Isbell family.
