He was a native of West Point, VA, and had resided in Norfolk for the past 45 years. Son of the late Archie and Hardena Hall Taylor, he is survived by his wife, Annie Hanbury Jarvis Taylor; two sons, Alvin R. Taylor, of Norfolk; two daughters, Mrs. E. J. Glemming and Mrs. Nick Christ, both of Norfolk; two step-sons, J. R. Jarvis and F. C. Jarvis, both of Norfolk; two step-daughters, Mrs. Ellen Wise Baker and Mrs. J. E. Fox, of Carey, OH; one sister, Mrs. Mollie Williams of West Point, VA; two brothers, Eddie Taylor, of Richmond, and George Taylor, of Norfolk, and five grandchildren.
The body was removed to the Sykes Funeral Home, 124 East Berkley avenue, where funeral services will be held Monday afternoon at 3:30 o'clock. Burial will be in Riverside Memorial Park.
