Charles Cary Ainsworth, 80, of Looxahoma, Miss., passed away Sunday, March 7, 2010 at his home. Funeral services were held Tuesday, March 9 at 2:00 p.m. at the Looxahoma Church of Christ.

He was a retired vocational-technical instructor from Northwest Mississippi Community College. He was a Korean War Veteran, past Commander of a VFW Post in Tate County, and a past member of the American Vocational Association. He was a well known wood craftsman and a member of the Looxahoma Church of Christ where he served as an elder for many years.

He is survived by his wife, Carolyn Lewers Ainsworth; sons, Cary Ainsworth (Jill) of Newnan, Ga., Chris Ainsworth (Dana) of Arlington, Tenn.; and daughter, Linda Carol Ainsworth of Looxahoma. He also leaves six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; one sister, Patricia Christian of Woodstock, Va.; and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Frank W. Ainsworth of Minneapolis, Minn.
