Thomas B. Pritchard Dead. Thomas Benton Pritchard died Thursday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock at the home of his brother-in-law, N. P. Buck, in Waverly, Mo., from a stroke of apolexy. Capt. Pritchard was a native of Lafayette county and vis horn near Lexington February 16, 1S43. He spent his early manhood in this county and when the Civil War broke out he enlisted in Colonel Bledsoe's battery. After the close of the war he went to St. Louis and became actively actively engaged in the hotel business. At various times he was clerk in the Southern, the Olive Street hotel, Hotel Barnum and the Laclede. He was connected with the latter place about twenty-seven years and only resigned from there ten months ago, Capt. Pritchard's personality was the ideal for a hotel clerk always affable, courteous and so licitious for the comfort of the guests. He had a splendid memory and after his first introduction to a guest, he would always after welcome them by name. Capt. Pritchard was married to Mrs. Annie Conrad who died July 14, 1895. He is survived by two sisters, Mrs. Harriet Barron of this city and Mrs. N. P. Buck of Waverly. Since his retirement from active work he had been making his home with his sisters.
