Lois N. Amell, 83 was the daughter of John and Margaret Newell and a graduate of St. Joseph's Academy. At one time she worked for New York Telephone Co. and worked for many years as a buyer for the Carl Co., retiring several years ago. She had been a volunteer with Mohawk Pathway Girl Scouts for many years. Lois enjoyed going out to lunch and traveling with her friends. She was an active volunteer and communicant of Our Lady of Grace Church. She was predeceased by her husband, John "Jack" Amell. Lois is survived by five children; nine grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
