Vernon Wesley Hill, 53, of Memphis, delivery truck driver, died of heart failure Thursday at Shelby Pines Nursing Home. Services will be at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday at Family Funeral Care with burial in West Tennessee Veterans Cemetery. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church and a Vietnam War Army veteran. Mr. Hill, the husband of Virginia M. Hill, also leaves five daughters, Lisa Hopper, Sherry Lindermuth, Grace McClure, Katrina Hill and Kathleen Hill and two sons, Vernon Wesley Hill, Jr. and Walter Leon Hill, all of Memphis; a sister, Essie Ray Brown of Bartlett; a brother, Richard Hill of Munford, Tenn; two stepbrothers, William Hill of Martin, Tenn, and Louie Hill of Memphis, and 12 grandchildren. The family requests that any memorials be sent to Trinity Lutheran Church.
