Rhea Hill Abell, 81, of Buffalo, died Monday, April 24, 2000, at his residence. He was a member of the Mt. Tabor Baptist Church in Buffalo, where he served as trustee, and church treasurer from 1974-1985. He was a retired farmer, and a LaRue County Agricultural Stabilization and Conservation Community Committeeman for several years. Survivors include his wife, Jane Skaggs Abell; a daughter, Betsy Tucker of Hodgenville; a sister, Linnie Lou Rhodes of Danville, W. Va.; a brother, Roy Lee Abell of Louisville; and two grandchildren. The funeral is 1 p.m. Thursday at Bennett-Bertram Funeral Home in Hodgenville with the Rev. Carlos Compton and the Rev. Roger Pepper officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Tabor Baptist Church Cemetery.
