Lana Turner Dean, age 56 of Cumming, passed away on Tuesday, December 21, 2010. She was a member of New Harmony Baptist Church and was a member of the WMU. Lana loved her husband, children and grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Estelle Turner; sisters, Louise Mitchell, Mary Ingram, Dot Chapman, Dolly Head, Shirley Dobson, Aline Wilder and Shelia Turner; brothers, Fred Turner and Harold Turner. Lana is survived by her husband of 41 years, James "Jimmy" Dean of Cumming; children, Teresa and Michael Green of Ball Ground, James "Jamie" and Barbara Dean of Dawsonville; grandchildren, Brittany Dean , Micah Dean, Danny Dean, Johnna Rae Dean and Elijah Green; sisters and brothers-in-law, Sue and Jack Heard of Ellijay, Ruby and Junior Roper of Cumming, JoAnne Wood of Gainesville; brothers and sisters-in-law, Dewey "Jack" and Charlene Turner, John and Evalina Turner all of Cumming; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Frances and Carol Waters of Cumming, Billy Dean of Dawsonville, Linda Smith of Dahlonega, Arthur Head of Cumming; sister-in-law and special care giver, Shirley Dean; and a number of nieces, nephews and other relatives also survive. Interment will be in Sawnee View Memorial Gardens.
