Illness is Fatal to Retired Hermitage Farmer
Burton Yelton, 79 retired farm operator, died Sunday morning at his home, 1809 Electric Sreet, after an illness of five weeks.
A native of Davidson County, Mr. Yelton was a farmer in the Hermitage community for many years before ill health forced him to retire. He was a member of the Methodist Church.
He is survived by his sons, Wilburn, of Richmond, Va., and John Yelton of Nashville; daughters, Mrs. J. Alvin Oakley and Mrs. Kenneth Hinson of Nashville, and one brother B. G. Yelton of Mt. Juliet.
Funeral services will be conducted this afternoon at 2 o'clock at the Wood Funeral Home by the Rev. E. C. Shelton and the Rev. L. S. Ewton. Burial will be in the family cemetery at Hermitage.
